Why is Lazada charging penalty fees?

  1. Lazada is charging penalties to create a fair environment, where all sellers are encouraged to equally follow Lazada’s policies. Well performing sellers are rewarded and customers benefit from better customer experience. Additionally, Lazada is using collected penalty fees, to potentially compensate customers upon order cancellations or returns.
  2. Please note that we don’t penalize any behavior that is not directly under seller’s control. We do not penalize  customers, logistics, or any other non-seller related issues. We only apply penalties due to sellers’ reasons.
